Behind IWE is a husband–wife team who turned their shared vision into a unified creative studio: Sofia, an Italian wedding planner known for her precision and warmth, and Massimiliano Esposito, founder of Light & Dreams Studio, one of Italy’s most sought–after editorial wedding photography houses.
Together, they reimagined what destination weddings could be — not a list of vendors, but a guided journey where planning and storytelling flow with the same voice and the same philosophy.

Sofia is the soul of Italy Wedding Experience — the person who quietly holds together the emotion, logistics and beauty of every celebration. With a natural sense of elegance and years of experience with international couples, she transforms complex destination weddings into experiences that feel effortless and deeply personal.
Her approach blends Italian hospitality with a refined, editorial eye: she listens first, then designs timelines, guest flow and atmospheres where every moment feels intentional and nothing is left to chance. Couples often say that being around her feels calming — as if someone is gently taking the weight off their shoulders.
For Sofia, planning is not just organisation. It is the art of creating a space where you can truly be present with the people you love most, knowing that every detail around you has been curated with care, discretion and heart.
Massimiliano “Max” Esposito

I’m Massimiliano — but Max is much simpler. I am a wedding photographer with many years of experience, specialising in destination weddings in Italy and working almost exclusively with international couples. These celebrations, with their cultures, colours and stories, are where I find my greatest creative inspiration.
I speak English fluently, so I’m never a stranger to you or your guests. My aim is to make everyone feel at ease, connected and free to be themselves in front of the camera. Over the years I’ve received multiple international awards — recognitions that I value not just as prizes, but as a reflection of my deep passion for this craft.
For me, photography is more than a profession; it is my way of seeing life. I am drawn to images that transcend time — portraits where you look like the most authentic, beautiful version of yourself, even if only for a few fleeting seconds. I love spontaneity and quiet observation, capturing intimate moments without interrupting them.
I’m captivated by bold colours, strong contrasts and the nostalgic light of sunsets. That is why my photographs often feel vibrant, cinematic and full of life.
