Best Wedding Venues in Tuscany
A Wedding Planner’s Personal Favorites
🌿 1.
Tenuta di Monaciano – My Forever Favorite
This venue is everything. Nestled in what I believe is the most beautiful area in all of Tuscany, just 5 minutes from Siena, Tenuta di Monaciano has it all.
What makes it so special?
Well, for starters, it’s incredibly versatile and unique. You can legally get married here, which is a huge plus for couples dreaming of an all-in-one venue. There are different settings for every moment of the day, and with exclusive hire, you can truly personalize the space to match your vision.
It can sleep up to 105 guests—24 in the main villa and 81 in the charming farmhouse apartments scattered across the estate. And no worries about people walking long distances or driving after the party: the venue offers an in-house shuttle service from the farmhouses to the main villa.
Here’s how I usually structure weddings here:
-
Welcome party by the pool near the farmhouse (don’t spoil the villa too early!)
-
Wedding day at the villa with the ceremony, dinner, and dancing
-
Farewell brunch or pizza party on the third day
And in case of rain? Their Plan B is flawless—you won’t need to worry about extra rentals or tents. Honestly, it’s rare to find a venue that accommodates this many guests on-site while keeping such a luxurious, elegant feel.
Perfect for: medium to higher-end budgets, large weddings, legal ceremonies
External caterer required—but that means you can personalize your experience even more (think: pizza truck + Aperol Spritz night one, full fine-dining on the big day).
A planner is not mandatory here, but trust me: there are a lot of moving parts. You’ll want someone to coordinate them all so you can just enjoy the magic.
🍷 2.
Le Filigare – A Hidden Gem Between Florence and Pisa
This venue is such a gem, and one of my personal go-to spots for couples looking for beauty and flexibility. Just a 30-minute drive from both Florence and Pisa, it’s ideal if many of your guests are flying in.
Le Filigare is a beautifully curated property and also a working winery. The entire place has a laid-back charm, but can easily be styled to look incredibly luxurious.
It sleeps 70 guests, spread across the main villa and beautifully restored farmhouses just a 5-minute walk away. Every unit has its own kitchen, air conditioning, and all the comforts you’d expect.
The lawn in front of the villa is one of my favorite spaces for dinner—string fairy lights above, add long tables, and it becomes pure romance. The view is unforgettable, and the sunsets? Unreal.
Being family-owned, the warmth and care you’ll feel here is unmatched. From wine tastings to pizza parties and pasta-making classes, the family can help organize the entire weekend program, adding a very personal touch.
Perfect for: medium budgets, couples who want a warm, welcoming, wine-fueled experience
External caterer required for the wedding day, but they can help organize everything else
Wedding planner is not mandatory, but I’d recommend at least a day-of coordinator to bring it all together smoothly.
🏛 3.
Borgo Stomennano – History Meets Romance
Best Wedding Venues in Tuscany
Ah, Borgo Stomennano. This venue is legendary, and for good reason. Located just 20 minutes from Siena in Monteriggioni, it’s a historic villa and estate that oozes character and class.
You enter through a cypress-lined road (yes, it’s as dramatic and romantic as it sounds), and arrive at a centuries-old villa filled with antiques, paintings, statues, and the kind of atmosphere that no styling can replicate.
There are multiple ceremony and reception locations on the property, depending on your guest count.
The venue sleeps up to 40 guests, and has a solid Plan B in case of rain. There’s no music limit—so party away!
External catering is required, and you have full flexibility in choosing your team.
Wedding planner is mandatory here—not just because of the logistics, but because this venue deserves thoughtful curation.
Perfect for: 60–80 guests, higher-medium to high-end budget weddings.
It can be rented for just one day or for the full 3-day experience—but book fast: dates go quickly, often 1–2 years in advance!
👑 4.
Villa Valentini Bonaparte – Regal Luxury Near the Border
Okay, this one’s technically in Umbria, but it’s just two minutes from the Tuscan border—and it’s too perfect not to include.
Owned by Preludio, one of Italy’s top catering companies, Villa Valentini Bonaparte is the definition of luxury. Every inch of the property is pristine, elegant, and seriously jaw-dropping.
It can host 40 guests (20 in the main villa, 20 in the Tuscan house), and it’s structured in a way that allows for each part of your wedding day to unfold in a dedicated space—creating the perfect flow.
Legal ceremonies are possible here. The food? Out of this world. Preludio takes care of everything and their mise en place options are to die for.
There’s no minimum stay, but if you book the villa for three days, two days must be catered by Preludio.
Perfect for: luxury weddings, couples who want a flawless experience, fairytale vibes
Wedding planner is not mandatory, but I strongly recommend it—luxury needs precision.
🌺 5.
Villa Cetinale – Iconic, Historic, and Cinematic
Just a stone’s throw from Siena, Villa Cetinale is one of the most exclusive venues in Italy. It’s that beautiful. Many celebrities have said their “I do” here, and one step into the garden and you’ll understand why.
Every single corner of the estate is aesthetic perfection. The ceremony space in the garden is a dream. There’s room for 30 guests overnight, and a minimum one-week stay is required.
While there’s no internal caterer, you’re free to bring in your dream team—and host as many events as you want during the week. Daily breakfast is required, and there’s an event fee for each day you host celebrations.
Perfect for: high-end to luxury budgets, week-long celebrations, couples who want to fully immerse themselves in a romantic, noble experience
Wedding planner is absolutely required—trust me, there’s no other way to manage such a majestic venue properly.

Bonus Venue:
Castello di Celsa – The Ultimate Fairytale
I had to include this one.
Castello di Celsa, also near Siena, is a dream straight out of a storybook. If you’ve always wanted to feel like a princess for a day, this is your place.
From its perfectly manicured gardens to romantic staircases and breathtaking views, it’s just wow. The venue sleeps 22 guests, split between the castle and the Limonaia.
You’ll need an external caterer, but there are no restrictions. And while the venue fee isn’t over the top, I always recommend this one for high-end weddings—you’ll want to go all-in on florals, lighting, and styling to match the venue’s natural beauty.
Perfect for: dreamers, romantics, fairy-tale lovers with a high-end budget
Wedding planner isn’t required, but believe me—it’s a must.
